Our Story
Plan Ahead for the Red Driving School was founded by Nichole and Terry Flores—born from Terry’s dream of owning a small business and Nichole’s lifelong passion for teaching. As Idaho natives who have raised our family here, we’re deeply connected to this community and the values that shape it.
Our family motto has always been “Let’s be a home of positive encouragement (HOPE),” and that spirit guides everything we do. Safety, positivity, and integrity are the foundation of our school and the way we approach every student and family we serve.
As the Treasure Valley continues to grow, we welcome new residents as extended members of our community. At our driving school, we also understand the importance of enhancing our online presence through digital solutions, ensuring that students and parents are treated like family—supported, encouraged, and valued every step of the way.
Nichole Flores - Owner / Instructor
With more than 22 years of experience as an elementary school teacher in the Boise School District, I bring patience, clarity, and a deep understanding of diverse learning styles to every lesson. For the past 6 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching over 700 teen students and adults in the Meridian and Boise communities as a driver education instructor, helping students feel calm, confident, and capable behind the wheel. I believe that integrating digital solutions into my teaching methods enhances my students' online presence and prepares them for a successful future.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my husband, our son, and our two daughters and their husbands. As a family, we bond together through playing outdoor pickleball, golfing, rafting, and enjoying competitive indoor game nights.
I’m excited to meet each new student driver. Helping them grow, learn, and succeed is truly the most rewarding part of what I do.
Obi
Ruf! My name is Obi (short for Obi‑Wan Kenobi), and I’m a six‑year‑old golden retriever proudly serving as the company mascot. I’m thrilled to be part of the team that provides innovative digital solutions and brings a little extra joy wherever I go.
When I’m off duty, you’ll usually find me sniffing every blade of grass, snuggling with my humans, greeting everyone I meet with enthusiasm, and chasing the ever‑mysterious squirrel. Life is good when you’re a dog with a job, a family to love, and a role in enhancing our online presence.
